The NeuStar Pooling Administrator (PA) is an independent, neutral
third-party responsible for the fair and efficient overall administration of
thousands-blocks numbering resources throughout the United States and Puerto
Rico. Number Pooling allows for the disbursement of numbering resources to
service providers in blocks of one thousand telephone numbers.
NPAC
Local Number Portability Administration (LNPA) - NeuStar manages the registry
that allows customers to keep their existing phone numbers when switching
local service providers. Its operation of the Number Portability Administration
Center (NPAC) in Sterling, VA provides a master registry of routing information
that interfaces with local and long distance carriers.
